International footwear brand, Bata, was re-releasing its iconic heritage sneaker line, Bata Bullets. They wanted to get the sneakers into the hands (and onto the feet) of high profile social media influencers who probably hadn’t come into contact with Bata shoes since their schooldays.
We love a brand with a back story and Bata Bullets didn’t disappoint. Originally designed as the official footwear of the NBA team ‘the Bata Bullets’ in Maryland USA, the bullets became an iconic American sneaker brand of the 1970s. We worked with Bata to create media materials that would stand out when they hit the inbox, whilst also positioning Bata Bullets as a sneaker brand that the recipients needed in their lives and on their feet.
And stand out they did. Bata was back...but not as we once knew it. The social media influencers gave a big warm welcome to the newest sneakers on the block; the bloggers blogged far and wide and the cool kids happily posted and shared pics of their new, heritage kicks. The campaign reached more than 100,000 and posts are still happily popping into our feeds.
